First Single “I Need An Angel” Getting Attention From Radio and TV Programmers
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 2009) – The Vine Records/Indie Extreme group, Sacred Road, release their self-titled CD Sacred Road through distribution giant, Universal Music Christian Group/Fontana on September 22, 2009. The group has already caught the attention of radio programmers throughout the USA and Canada with their first single “I Need An Angel” with over 150 stations worldwide and charting on the CRW Global CHR Chart at #3, and in the top 10 on the Global AC and Internet radio charts. The song was mixed by veteran multi Grammy recipient, F. Reid Shippen. The song was most recently picked up by Horizon Broadcast Network with over 70 stations nationwide and He’s Alive Radio Network. "We just want to make a difference and shed some "light" on things that are important to us all" said The Vine Records President, Mario Costabile. Mario produced the recording and the ensuing video of “I Need An Angel”, which has already gone into rotation at Time Warner Cable Channel 97, NYNET, a Christian programming station that serves the greater New York City area. The lyrical content is a call out to God to send an angel to protect and care for children while away from their parent. The video has universal appeal as it powerfully expresses the heart of a mom as she watches her children grow and move out into the world. “Our music is about life, faith, and love. It's a journey that's sacred." Said Dave Olson, lead singer and guitar player for the band, "We use our music as a tool to influence others to make authentic relationships" The album is filled with songs that express this vision in various life experiences. The band hits the road this fall for six concerts in the New Jersey region as part of a multi-media show, Array of Hope, focused on bringing together families around the real life situations of their faith and how that plays out in their life choices. "We want to have fun, share our music, and make a positive impact of the lives of anyone who is there to listen to our music." said Samantha Hebert, lead vocalist for Sacred Road. With 25 years of experience in video and audio production Mario Costabile and Greg Freeborg formed, The Vine Records and Publishing. This company is designed to bring music and videos that are positive, family friendly productions to the masses. “We are trying to make a difference in a world that needs good solid values instilled in our communities.”, says Costabile. The partnership of Costabile and Freeborg has already yielded a video/dance mix single “The Boom Boom Dance” by Chitlins that brings a fresh, upbeat, clean hiphop vibe which is resonating with the public as shown by the overwhelming response on MTVmusic.com’s Top 100. “The Boom Boom Dance” video hit #1 on Sept 6th, just 3 days after it debuted on the chart and has remained in the top 5. Greg Freeborg states the company’s vision best, “We are all walking down the sacred road. Some of us are oblivious to it. Some of us have an inkling that it's there. Some of us are very aware of it sometimes. And some of us experience every hill and valley with the knowledge that God is walking right beside us guiding our every step.” There is an exciting view ahead for The Vine Records as they take the next step on this journey. Indie Extreme, which is based in Nashville, Tenn., represents musical acts ranging from folk legend Judy Collins to hit CCM artist Matt Brouwer.
