Traci Root @ The Rutledge, Nashville, TN, Feb 26

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 2008) – R&B fusion recording artist Traci Root will preview selections from her forthcoming CD during a performance at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 26 (Tuesday) at the Rutledge, 410 4th Ave. S. in downtown Nashville. Admission is $5; doors open at 7 p.m. Root, who recently moved to Nashville from the northeast, has received critical acclaim for an “energetic and soul-stirring” style that combines classic R&B with modern soul, jazz, hip-hop and pop-rock. The Indiana native has drawn up to 40,000 people to performances in Southeast Asia and received radio airplay around the world. Her song, I Will Carry You, which was dedicated to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, has been used by the social welfare organization Foundation Life. Root’s performance is sponsored by Storyline Church. The Nashville-based independent label management firm Indie Extreme provides resources, administrative and marketing support for the artist and her self-established record label, Greener Music.
